New York, NY (December 13, 2011) – Sheets™ Brand Energy Strips, “the new way to do energy,” today announced a national Facebook competition to search for the brand’s next commercial. Judged by basketball superstar and brand partner LeBron James and his Sheets™ Team, Sheets™ will turn over the creation of their new national commercial to consumers. Beginning today, entrants will have 45 days to submit their creative take on Sheets’™ highly publicized advertising campaign through the Sheets™ Facebook page (www.facebook.com/takeasheet) and the winning commercial will have their spot aired on national television and in movie theaters nationwide in 2012.

Following in the footsteps of Sheets™ co-founder LeBron James, who directed his own Sheets™ commercial which launches today all ads must be 15-30 seconds long and demonstrate originality, creativity and humor.

Commercials will be uploaded to www.facebook.com/takeasheet and the top six spots as determined by the most number of “likes” after 45 days will be featured on the Sheets™ Facebook page in the “Finals.” Then, LeBron James and his esteemed panel of judges will vote on the winning commercial.

First thing first, there has to be a NBA season before we can figure out which players will be in uniform next time the Heat take the court. The players we can guarantee to see in a Heat uniform would be Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. Beyond them we break it down into a few categorie.

Probably

Udonis Haslem – Only way he isn’t on the team is if there is a major trade. He is a great locker room guy on this team and Wade wants UD to stay around.

Mike Miller – Don’t see him being traded unless it is needed to upgrade the center position.
Though he was slow to come around this year, he showed glimpses of how deadly the Heat can be when fully healthy.

Joel Anthony – Similar to Miller, he is here unless traded to upgrade the center spot. Heat really
like his hustle and value him more than other teams in the league do.

Mario Chalmers – Heat are high on him and since he is a restricted free agent the Heat can match all offers.

Eddie House – He picked up his player option for next year and seems fine with his role on the
team.

Dexter Pittman – The only guy left from the 4 second round picks the Heat had in last year’s
draft. Worked hard all year to lose weight and work on his all-around game.

Norris Cole – Heat are slim at the point guard position and really like his speed.

Tough Call

Zydrunas Ilgauskas – He did pick up his player option for next season, but says he still could
retire.

Mike Bibby – He didn’t work out the way the Heat wanted him to. Depending on what happens on the free agent market he could be back, but could also try his luck elsewhere.

Juwan Howard – He is getting up there in age and even though he says he can still play it will depend on if the Heat look to get younger and more athletic.

All But Gone

Erick Dampier – Center by committee will need a change as will where Dampier plays, if he does
at all.

James Jones – He opted out of his deal and could be upset since his roll shrunk as the season
went on. A team like the Lakers or Bulls could scoop him up.

Jamaal Magloire – Age has caught up with him and the Heat are looking to get younger.

Should Target

Samuel Dalembert – #1 guy the Heat should go after. Plays defense and has more offensive talent than any center currently on the roster.

Shane Battier – He would be a great guy for the locker room, but also defensively when Wade and Lebron need to rest.

Jamal Crawford – He is a longshot since he will probably get paid more to play elsewhere, but
his ability to score off the bench would help out a lot.

Let’s all hope the lockout ends sooner than later and we can get our team back out on the court competing for a championship again!

Starting this upcoming college basketball season the University of Miami, Ohio State University, and University of Kentucky will be representing the Lebron brand, by wearing uniforms and warm-ups with the LBJ logo on them. This is the first time since Jordan Brand broke into the college level that an NBA star is spreading his name throughout the college ranks.

The idea of an athlete growing his name into such a recognizable brand is very exciting. People give these athletes so much grief about making millions of dollars and wasting it. What Lebron has done and continues to do should be done by more superstar athletes out there.

Did Lebron make the correct decision in where to play for at least the next 4-6 years of his career? Let’s break down the other five teams it was between and evaluate where they would be with him on the roster today and why he may not have picked them…

Chicago Bulls

The city of Chicago would have had one of the best duos in the game with the pair of James and Derrick Rose. You have to wonder how they would have filled out the roster though. Boozer would not have been there and they wouldn’t have been able to spend the money on the depth they ended up getting from the vast array of role players they ended up picking up. While Lebron and Rose would have made them as fast on the break as Lebron and D-Wade are, would they have been able to really contend for a championship? Of the five teams he didn’t choose the Bulls would have given him the second best chance to win and be a contender for years to come. The thought of being in Jordan’s shadow could have played a larger role in this than people may have thought.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavs did everything they could have done to try and keep Lebron in Ohio. They surrounded him with lots of different talent during his time there, but none of those teams were really able to help get him over the hump. The Cavs were strapped with a high salary and players that were locked into bad contracts that no one else wanted. Lebron was a king there, but in such a small market it seemed like Lebron was not maximizing his celebrity. He knew what he had there and knew he needed to be surrounded by more talent. At the end of the day those were the reasons why he ultimately left. Not to mention the winters are brutal there and in Miami the winters are short and there is a lot more bathing suit weather going on.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers had all the young talent on the roster anyone could ask for. What hurt them was the fact that they are the second team in a city with the Lakers as the headliner. Lebron wasn’t going to go somewhere to be the warm up act for Kobe and the Lakers. Another reason the Clippers aren’t where Lebron is playing could have to do with the issues players seem to have with ownership there. It all adds up and these are things players have to take into consideration. Lebron and Blake Griffin dunking the ball would have easily made the Clippers an exciting show to watch, but was there really enough mature talent there to do any more than that?

New Jersey Nets

The Nets went in very confident in the whole situation when they got the chance to meet with Lebron. They knew they had a few young pieces, including Brook Lopez, that could help sway him to join the Nets, but they also had a lot of holes. The new ownership was a huge perk and the promise of going to Brooklyn in a few seasons definitely helped, but ultimately the lack of talent on the roster had to worry Lebron.

New York Knicks

The Mecca of basketball had its chance to get Lebron in and they set themselves up very well financially.
The problem became that even though Lebron could have teamed up with probably any superstar free agent from last summer there, the Knicks really gutted the rest of the roster. Lebron could have probably set himself up better in the business sense, but even with a guy who wants to always be in the spotlight, maybe he was worried the Big Apple would have eaten him up.

At the end of the day Lebron set himself up to play with two of his very good friends, who also happen to be superstar/allstar players, for what could be the rest of his NBA career. He also put himself in a
market that gets a lot of publicity and allows him to continue to grow his brand and company to bigger and better things.

When it’s all said and done and we look back years from now it is a safe bet to say he will have numerous championships and really built himself into the second coming of Michael Jordan…in the
business sense.

Word on the street is that while growing up in Chicago, Dwyane Wade worked at a local KFC drive-thru window. KFC is offering Wade the chance to come back and relive the experience this summer while the NBA is in their labor dispute.

KFC has said they will donate $250,000 to charity if Wade comes back to his old stomping ground. While the thought of him actually doing it doesn’t seem high, it is a genius marketing move on KFC’s part. The
line for the drive thru window would be as long as the line to get KFC U.S. general manager John Cywinski says that the company has always been proud of Wade and looks to hire people with his skills like “teamwork and the ability to make buckets in a hurry.”

Only time will tell what Wade decides to do with his new found free time.

Despite blowing out teams early, they are then rescinding to shooting 3s and play only perimeter offense. They must run inside game, be it through the bigs or through the guards, it has to get done. Its not happening. Getting into the penalty early slows the game down and the big first half leads will become more secure.
