From these numbers alone we can see a few things about how the Heat look from Year 1 to Year 2. Each player has changed here and there, but the three on the court look much more comfortable together on the court this year than they did at this point last season.

LeBron is scoring more and at a much more efficient rate. He is also crashing the boards more to help with the Heat being undersized when they play with either Haslem, Bosh, or Anthony at the center position. He is playing at an MVP level and right now would have to be considered the favorite to win the award for the third time.

Wade’s numbers are the only ones that have really taken a hit from last season. He is down in all of these statistical areas. The Heat are going to need him to get his act together if they want to win a championship this year. He is going to have to take much better shots. Once he does that, his scoring will go back up closer to his 25ppg from last season.

Bosh looks much more comfortable this year. He is shooting the ball better and has even extended his game to outside of the 3 point line. As the season goes on, his assists per game should also go up. He has been given the green light to help create offense and that should help give the Heat another element to their game.
